Some books need careful repair; others are ready for a second life. Either way, Wren & Weld is here to help.

  • Old and historically significant books are repaired to the highest standard we can give them. That means doing as little as necessary, using materials that can be reversed, and respecting the book as it was made.

  • Books whose value is in the memories rather than the history can be rebound with more freedom: a grandmother's cookbook, a falling-apart photo album, a run of magazines, a favourite paperback. These can come back in new cloth or leather, with colour and character, made to be shown off.

  • We make one-off books to order: photo albums, wedding guest books, journals, and new covers for old favourites that deserve something special.

    Every commission is designed with you. We'll talk through how the book will be used, the materials you like, and anything that makes it personal.

  • Are looking to self publish or publish a short run of books? You provide the text and we can take care of the rest. This type of project requires extensive collaboration, please get in touch with your requirements.
